Welcome to ELK RUN!

THE CABINS OF ELK RUN are nestled on a 23.5-acre mountainside in the peaceful Low Gap region of Scott County, TN. These roomy cabins are perfectly located and are just minutes away from the many activities the Big South Fork region of the Upper Cumberland Plateau has to offer. The natural landscape of this area makes an ideal destination for outdoor recreation and has deep roots in Tennessee history and culture.

Elk Run is the western gateway to 44,000 acres of natural wilderness and 300+ miles of off-road trails with direct access into Brimstone Recreation Area (no trailering required) and TWRA (Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency) offering some of the best OHV trails in the eastern United States.

If motorcycle touring is your passion then Elk Run's backyard is the place for your next trip.  We are surrounded with some of the best riding in Tennessee.  Leave Elk Run and connect with hundreds of miles of scenic rides such as the Devil's Triangle, in and around the BSFNRRA, Aces & Eights and many more.  Need someone to guide your group or need someone to ride with?  No problem Dennis and I are riders and know every road in our neck of the woods!

Other activities such hiking, mountain biking (IMBA “EPIC” rated), road biking, fishing, horseback riding, hunting, kayaking and canoeing are offered just a few miles away within the Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area.  The BSFNRRA encompasses 125,000 acres of scenic mountain gorges & sandstone bluffs straddling & protecting the Big South Fork of the Cumberland River and it’s tributaries.  For history buffs – don’t miss visiting the Victorian village of Historic Rugby est. in 1880 or the award winning Heritage Museum of Scott High.

After a busy day the cabin porches offer a special place to relax and watch the visiting wildlife on the lawns of Elk Run, a Certified Wildlife Habitat.

We love staying at Elk Run.  Thank you, Cheryl & Dennis for your warm hospitality and sharing this wonderful place.  We will be back!

This is our groups third visit to Elk Run & the rides just get better & better.  Thanks Dennis & Cheryl for all your help & hospitality.  We love it here.
This is our favorite place to ride and the cabins are great!  Mr. Big & Dixie are a hoot & make us feel at home.  Thanks for a great holiday.

Brimstone's trails are the best.  We rode over 80 miles today & just got started.  We love the direct access without having to trailer.  Elk Run is awesome!
